The strung pearls are made from glass, all the loose beads are made from plastic. Any of these may be used for necklaces or earrings. The plastic beads, being lighter in weight, are best used for embroidery.

The threads of pearls are "loose strung", that is: strung for the purpose of manufacture and for ease of sale. They are not strung necklaces, and should be restrung on a thread of you choice.
