We are discontinuing the Colour Craft wire exept for colours Siver and Gold. Other colours are now being sold at HAlf PRICE.
We are now stocking Scientific Wire Company products because we find these better for knitting with wire. For further details please go to the wire section.
We are particularly pleased with our new 52 compartment "Bead Orgainizer". It has a plastic carrying case with handle, measuring 10" x 8.25" max. Inside are 2 medium boxes (4 1/4" x 2 3/8"), 34 small boxes ("1 1/2 x 1 1/2"), 16 mini boxes ("1 x 1/4"). And in addition it includes a bead scoop and tweezers. All this retails at a very reasonable £12.95 . All the boxes have flip lids and stack together tightly, keeping the beads secure.
Saturday, November 13th
We now have three different types of "BEAD LOOMS". The basic one is the same as previous. It contains a wire loom and instuctions. The Designer loom is made of a more robust wire construction and is fixed to a wooden base. This one does not contain instructions. The third loom is a wider version made from wire with an expandable base to lengthen the working area. All three have wooden rollers to which the work is attatched, fixed to the wire frame with wing nuts. When these are loosened the work can be wound on, thus lenghtening the beading work to almost any lenght. These looms can be found under "MISCELLANEOUS"
Saturday, October 29th.
Many more new books have been arriving in the shop this week and some old favourites To find the books go to " Buy Books" and follow the book links. You may also be suprised to find that by following this root you will, if you are lucky find a way to our newest glass beads - The Italian Glass Beads"!! Until my host can come up with a solution to this problem I am afraid we are stuck with it, but I promise you it is worth the effort!!! These beads have proved so popular in the shop that we are sometimes out of stock and we will send the best colour match we can manage.
October 19th
Now that summer is over we are preparing fo Christmas in the shop. For the first time this year we have introduced some childrens wooden bead kits. Prices are from £2.99 up to £19.95 and are suitable for age 3 - 8 years.
With Christmas in mind we have re stocked our book section. Books are always very popular for Christmas presents and we now have a big selection with more on the way.
For some time we have not been able to show our books on the site.This has only partly been sorted out so please be patient. To find them go to "Books To Buy" Jewelley making" "Books"
Bracelets are still very popular this season and amongst the most popular beads are the 8mm wooden beads sold at 4p each. You will need abot 18 - 20 to make a bracelet and combined with a 2m packet of "Elasticity" @ 95p you can soon make yourself a fashionable article. We stock these beads in black, white, ivory, brown, red, blue, green, yellow, orange, and bright pink. They are easy to make and require no needle and just a strong knot to finish. To order just send an email and don't forget the postage and you address.
Good news for those of you who prefer to make your bracelets using "Memory Wire".
We now have it packaged in smaller quanties and both bracelets and necklaces come in two sizes; Standard and Large.
The" Coiling Gizmo" is proving increasinly popular and I have seen some really interesting work using the Gizmo done by our cutomers.

Blue Rocaille Necklace
Don't forget to go to the "Make It" page for instructionson how to make the necklace using blue and silver Rocailles. This has proved so popular that we can now offer this in kit form. Email us with your choice of colours: opaque for the main body and opaque for the contrast. We will send you your kit for £9.50 including postage. The kit will include everything you need to make the necklace. Go to "Make It" for all the details on how to make your blue and silver rocaille necklace. You can print the instructions to make working easier. Enjoy making it and take pride in wearing it.

Beaded Tree Baubles
Our customers have seen us making these beaded Christmas tree decorations in the shop and have asked for the instruction for making them. We are still including thee on the site even after Christmas because we have found that they are popular at any time of year and by using different coulours they can be used as room decorations.
And some of our customers have already started making decorations for next year!!

Ideas for Christmas
Eye Glass Holder
A great idea for presents for family members who wear glasses! Make them an eye glass holder- that's the chain bit that attaches to the glasses and hangs round your neck, using rocailles and bugles and a few extra feature beads.
Fix to the glasses with the little attachment that we sell for 60p per pair. You can make it in the colours to match their favourite outfit. It's also so light that it is very easy to post, just put it in with the Christmas card. You will find it's just as easy as making a necklace and you will have fun doing it!

BEAD BOOKS
We are sorry, but for the time being we have deceided to discontinue selling Beading Books on the web site. This is due to the problem we have been having with our supplier in getting regular and reliable service. We still have some books for sale in the shop and hope to be able to sell them again on the internet when we can find a more reliable source. If there is any company out there which can supply us with Beading Books I would be glad to hear from them.

This is Clare, one of our "Saturday Girls" wearing an Amulet Purse designed and made in the shop from our Rocailles and Bugles with added accent beads.

The Amulet Purse is made in "Net Stich" using grey and lilac silver lined rocailles, size 8. It is decorated with lilac "optic" beads and the fringe is made from bugles and rocailles with added lilac glass drops and hearts.

New Products
Wire Gizmo
We now have the "Wire Gizmo" back in stock, priced at £8.50. This is a tool for making twisted wire beads and earrings. Our customers love it!
It comes in a box with instructions. Two metal rods of different thickness are used to twist the wire. The twist is then removed and trimmed and a second length of wire is inserted through the first twist and twisted again. By changing the thickness of wire and rod different effects are achieved. (wire has to be bought separately)
These can be shaped and used as earrings, or linked together to form necklaces.

Floating Necklace
The "floating" or "invisible" necklace is still very much in fashion and is proving very popular still with our customers in the shop.
You will find that these simple to make necklaces will be enjoyed by friends and family alike.
To make these necklaces you need fine plastic coated wire. We have now changed our supplier and we think the item we now stock is better than ever, we hope you will agree! (well, if you don't then let us know, we are always glad to hear from our customers)
We now stock "BEADALON" plastic coated wire in a number of colours and thicknesses: silver, bronze, blue, green, purple, pink and black. These all sell at £3.00 per reel.
In addition you will need crimps to make the beads "float". We now stock the ones from "Beadalon" which come in two sizes, and colours to match the thread. These are a great improvement on the old ones, much neater, and sell at £1.95 per packet.
We have a bigger selection than ever of suitable little beads and the clasps to finish off the ends.
We can put together a kit for you. Just e-mail us with your colour preferences and tell us how much you would like to spend on the beads and we will do the rest.
It's so easy!.

Beaded Necklaces
Carly wearing her necklace.
This is Carly, who works in the shop, proudly wearing the necklace she has just made.
Carly made this necklace using size 11 rocailles in black and red with red glass drops. We will soon be showing you how to make a similar necklace. It will be a simple one to start with. These necklaces do not need a loom. The work is done in the hand using rocailles, a needle and some thread.
