Loom Weaving with Beads

This is yet one more method of working with beads to produce a flat "fabric". The standard loom will produce a band of up to 4ins wide. Because of the way the ends of the loom can be made to wind on the the length can be almost any measurement you want.
Examples of bead weaving done on a loom. These were made by members of staff using one of the looms we sell in the shop.

It simply requires rocailles, thread and a needle. These bead bands can be put to many uses, the most popular being bracelets, head bands and hat bands. But they can also be sewn together to make larger articles or applied to clothing for decorative effects.
We sell the looms at £7.50 each. These are particularly popular as Christmas presents. We have had to re-order twice this month, so hurry if you want one for Christmas 2002!

The kit include instuctions, thread, needles and a few beads; enough to "have a go". You will need to buy more beads to make something such as a bracelet. Go to our "Rocailles" page for more information about these beads.
